This past week was absolutely amazing; I dont know if I can even describe it. There was only one bad thing about my week, and that was getting my camera stolen on the subway. I felt like I was being so careful with my purse, but it didnt seem to matter. There was a big crowd of people getting on the subway, and someone somehow knocked my arm out of the way of my purse and unzipped it and stole my camera. It was a bummer! So it will be kind of difficult to upload pictures. I have taken some on my iphone, but I have to be careful where I bring it. This weekend was a lot of fun. I have met some really nice Argentinans that are helping me with my Spanish which is really good. I went to a local salsa club on Saturday with one of them which was really cool. On Friday I went to a gay bar for a going away party for one of the guys (who is gay) in our program. It was really fun, I talked to one guy in Spanish about musicals for a good twenty minutes. I accidently told some girls at the club I liked women. It was embarrassing and I had a lesbian following me around the bar the rest of the night. On Saturday my program took our group to a city called El Tigre. Tigre is a little town on a river, it was pretty but cold. We took a boat tour and then went to a parilla (a steak house). At the parilla they serve huge portions of red meat on a small grille that they bring to a table. I was kind of grossed out by it. After Tigre we stopped at a restaurant that was on the ocean for te (tea). It was really cool there were a bunch of locals hanging out in the grass outside the restaurant. Sunday we went to a bunch of different markets where they sell clothes and food around Buenos Aires which

Elise,
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry about your camera that really sucks. Haha don't you love when you slip up in another language and say something that you didn't mean. It happens to the best of us.
